Pargat Singh

ਪਰਗਟ ਸਿੰਘپرگٹ سنگھ

Defender from Mithapur near Jalandhar who captained India's hockey team at two Olympics.

Pargat Singh was born in 1965 at Mithapur in the Jalandhar district, a village known for its hockey players, and became one of the best full-backs in the world.

He captained India at the Olympics of 1992 and 1996, and later went into Punjab politics.
