ਕਰਤਾਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੁੱਗਲکرتار سنگھ دگل
Short-story writer from the Pothohar who wrote in its own Punjabi and won the Sahitya Akademi award in 1965.
Duggal was born in Dhamial near Rawalpindi and wrote in the Pothohari Punjabi of his childhood. He worked for All India Radio after Partition and wrote stories, novels and plays.
He wrote often of Partition and the lost Pothohar, and won the Sahitya Akademi award in 1965.
