Punjabi writer born in Lahore, whose autobiography Khanabadosh tells of a woman's life after Partition.

Ajeet Cour was born in Lahore and came to Delhi in 1947. She writes fiction and memoir in Punjabi; her autobiography Khanabadosh, 'Nomad', won the Sahitya Akademi award in 1985.

She founded the Academy of Fine Arts and Literature in Delhi and brought writers of South Asia together across its borders.
