Mian Muhammad Bakhsh's shrine, Khari Sharif

ਮੀਆਂ ਮੁਹੰਮਦ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ ਦੀ ਦਰਗਾਹ

Shrine near Mirpur of the poet of Saif ul Malook, whose couplets are quoted all over the northern Punjab.

Mian Muhammad Bakhsh (1830 – 1907) lived at Khari Sharif near Mirpur and wrote Saif ul Malook, a long Punjabi poem about a prince's quest for a fairy princess and the soul's search for God.

His shrine stands beside that of his own saint, Pir Shah Ghazi, and singers of the Pothohar still sing his verses there.
