Jutti

ਜੁੱਤੀ

The pointed leather shoe of the Punjab, embroidered in gold and silver thread for weddings.

The jutti is a flat shoe of tanned leather with a pointed, sometimes curled toe, made without a separate left or right, so that it shapes itself to the foot. Plain ones are worn in the fields; for weddings and festivals they are embroidered with gold and silver thread, beads and mirrors.

Patiala, Amritsar and Multan, whose khussa is the Pakistani form, are famous for them, and the jutti features in many songs, as in 'jutti kasoori', the shoe from Kasur that pinches.
