ਮੀਆਂ ਮੀਰ ਦੀ ਦਰਗਾਹمیاں میر

Tomb of the Qadiri saint Mian Mir, friend of Guru Arjan and teacher of the Mughal prince Dara Shikoh.

Mian Mir (about 1550 – 1635) was a Sufi of the Qadiri order who lived simply outside Lahore and was visited by emperors. Sikh tradition remembers him as a friend of Guru Arjan, and holds that he was invited to lay the foundation stone of the Harmandir Sahib in Amritsar.

His tomb, built by Dara Shikoh, stands in the district still called Mian Mir, and his urs is attended by Muslims and Sikhs alike.
