Imam Nasir's shrine, Jalandhar

ਇਮਾਮ ਨਾਸਿਰ ਦੀ ਦਰਗਾਹ

One of the oldest Muslim shrines of the eastern Punjab, in the old city of Jalandhar.

The shrine of Imam Nasir, a saint said to have come to the Punjab in the time of the Ghaznavids or soon after, stands in the walled old city of Jalandhar beside a mosque of Mughal times.

After 1947 Jalandhar lost almost all its Muslims, but the shrine survived and is visited by people of every faith.
